08 Altima Coupe

So, I've been noticing that my tire pressure light would come on and blink when I turn on the car and after about 5 seconds it would stop, but still stays on. I've had my tire pressure checked and even had air put in it, but it would still stay on. It makes me wonder if the sensors got messed up when my tires were replaced a while back. Should I take it to Nissan to get checked and how much do you think they would charge me? I don't have a warranty.

Your sensor went bad or was broke. I forgot how much they wanted to charge me to replace mine, but it was waaaaay more than i was willing to pay. I manually check my tire pressure and just deal with the light being on.

Those sensors are about $80 each. When I upgraded my tires & rims, I had metal valve stems installed, & was advised that the light would blink then stay on. They said I should put a piece of tape or dot of paint over it if it bothers me, but it doesn't. And I just check my pressure every week the old fashioned way.

$80 each? Holy cow!!! Well, if it's not affecting anything, then I'm sure I can ignore it until I replace my tires I guess. I'll have to check my tire pressure more often. Thanks for the replies guys. :)

That's dealership 'Genuine Nissan' price. If you trust ebay, you can get an OEM set for about $100 or less, then pay someone to install.

I'm having the same problem, only 1 of mine is going bad. you might just need to replace 1 and not all 4.
