I have a 2004 M45 with Michelin Pilot HX MXM4. The tire pressure light came on 2 days ago so I checked the pressure with a digital gauge. 3 tires had 40 psi and the 4th had 37. I added air to the low tire and the light did not come back on right away.

Now the car comes on about 15 minutes into a trip. I checked the tire preassure again and they are all still at 40 psi. I dont see any damage to any of the tires. Has anyone else experienced this? The car is still under extended warranty, but i dont want to make an unecessary trip to the dealer.

I think it may be faulty sensor valves in the tire. I think it is called a presta valve? If you go to a local tire store they should be able to replace it for free maybe a few bucks($10 or less maybe). I had a buddy replace mine, but I think my is induced because of cold weather.

Hope that helps! KTW
