I have an 06 M35 and have over the last several days encountered an audible warning and a visual indicator of having low tire pressure. The data info screen displaying the tire pressures shows one tire highlighted, with supposedly low pressure, but oftentimes that tire is at the same pressure as the others. The tire pressure has checked out as being correct (manual gauge).

Any thoughts on resetting this without taking it to the dealer?

Thanks.

Not too long ago I picked up a nail in my '06 and got the low pressure warning. I filled the tire up with enough air to get to a local tire shop, where they pulled the wheel off, patched the tire, and put it back on.

No reset of anything was required ... the warning went away. Sounds like something else might be goofy.

I would definitely get a good tire pressure gauge and make sure that your tires are indeed inflated correctly (set them to 36 psi all around - cold pressure - for normal driving conditions) and see what happens. If the TPMS is functioning normally, it should reset with some driving. If not, then something is wrong with the system and the dealer will need to look at it!

An update on the tire pressure issue- The problem has progressively gotten worse. Over the course of 5 days, now all 4 tires exhibit the "low pressure" warning, as indicated on the information screen and the aural warning. In fact, after starting the car, there are now 4 separate and distinct alarms, one for each of the supposedly low tires (one after the other, in succession). I've manually checked the pressures, and they each match the information that the car displays (and all are in the 32 psi range cold).

Need to find time to bring the car to the dealer...
