The general consensus is that there is no way to disable the light (by design). If you find a way we would all love to know.

i believe i read that someone had the dealership turn off the senor because the senor wasnt working correctly. this was back when the sensor would go bad. Check with the dealership, maybe you can find a cool one that would turn it off. since your not running their shoes no more.

that is BS that they told you that....the TPMS sensors would fit in those tires......now the wheel may not be able to accept the sensor....but unless you were running like a 25 series tires, they won't be the issue

I don't know what the deal is with those of you who have run across these crappy crappy tire shops.

I only go to Discount tire now, and they are fully equiped for TPMS service. It was no problem for them whatsoever to take the sensors off my stock wheels and put them on my 17's.

MOST newer wheels are capable of taking TMPS sensors. But if your wheels are a model that are say, 3 or 4 years old or older, then they may not fit because they weren't designed to accommodate the fatter stem.

I wouldn't bother pulling your dash apart. It's already been established that all of the lights in there are hard-soldered LEDs. If you have to even ask the question about disabling the light, you probably don't have the skill necessary to do it without damaging other things in there.

Correct solution: Either make the lazy jerks who put your wheels on put the sensors in CORRECTLY, or find a properly equipped, major chain tire store, and have them put your sensors in. It's REALLY unlikely that they 'don't fit". And if a tire shop ever offers you their OWN sensors instead of yours, then you know they're REALLY blowing smoke up your arse.
