I had my TPMS light go on yesterday and I checked the pressure which was reading around 26 psi for all tires. As suggested in other threads, I cranked the pressure in each to 40 psi and drove the V around the block to get new readings. Bingo! The light went off! I started this thread not to open up old wounds of TPMS, but to remind everyone to check their tire pressure especially as the weather gets cold. I checked my other vehices and they need a boost in pressure as well.

Sounds like your TPMS is working the way it should. Wish mine would go off at 26 PSI. Mine does it at 32.5 PSI. Mine works, just not much tolerance to the low side. Which mine comes on all the time. I drive from 5200 feet to 11500 feet, with temp changes of 50+ degrees. So the light comes on all the time, but it goes off too, all on it's own. I just check the pressure now and then, which needs to be done.

That sounds like you have faulty pressure sensors, not a "low tolerance".

I had to do the exact same thing, couple days ago it hit about 6 here in Milwaukee area, left work at one in the morning to see that joyous light come on. Checked the pressure and it was down to about 25. Cranked it up today and bam it's back to normal.

It's definitely the cold weather.

System fired off in our Quest over the weekend. Gave me a great reason to open my early xmas present - Craftsman air compressor.

The quest actualy gives you the pressure readings for each tire in the center display. Really slick.
