Tire noise

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

New owner of a 2011 EX-35 with 6k miles. It has the 19" wheels with Bridgestone Turanza EL42 tires on it. No uneven wear and tires have been rotated. It is producing the worse road noise I have ever heard from any of the other small SUV's I have owned. I have had Mazda's etc that were quieter. I will be doing some extensive insulating if this is normal. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated or is this nature of the beast with the 19" wheel package.

I also have a 2011 with the 19 inch Turanzas, almost 8k to date. The only time I find them noisy is on rough, old pavement, which is true of most tires, otherwise I think they are a lot better than the SportMaxx tires I had on my G. I also think they have wonderful grip on dry or wet roads. I'm very pleased with them so far. Only had them n the snow once, but they did well there too.
