Problem #1

My right rear tire is losing about 1-1 1/2 lb of air pressure per week. It's set off the TPMS twice since I bought the car.

No visible sign of anything causing it. I'm thinking it just didn't get a good seal to the rim when it was installed.

The other three tires have been perfect on holding pressure so far.

Problem #2

Folded down the rear seats to put in some golf gear. Taking the clubs out through the rear driver's side door, the plastic piece that guides and covers the slot that locks the seat in the upright position popped off and I can't put it back on.

Are these both items the dealer should take care of for free?

Problem #1 - Yes I would take it to the dealership. The way I think about a warrenty is if the problem isn't caused by wearNtear then it is a warrently issuse, or if you broke it even then the warrenty can probably take care of it just don't tell the dealership it was you.

Problem #2 - See if the dealership will fix it under warrenty...if not don't pay for them to fix it doesn't sound like a problem that you or a friend couldn't fix. Maybe call a friend over and see if you guys can figure it out...I'm sure its eaiser then it looks.

The tire problem I would defently take to the dealership...its not normal. Unless they find a nail or something that is causing you to lose air.

The seat piece definitely.

Tires are usually on a prorated warranty (you pay an amount for repair based on mileage put on the tire). Rather than take it do a dealer, I'd take it to a reputable tire shop. If you have a Discount Tire near you, take it there, as they honor ALL warranties... even factory OEM ones.

I've always dealt with Discount Tire/America's Tire Stores. I love the service and warranties. I just wondered if the dealer could just remount the existing tire if the bead seal really is the problem with that tire.
