Tire Killing Machine

Finally got a Daily here it is

Image

Time has come to put the Z under the knife and make it a real drift car. TRYING to make it formula d pro am Atlanta this year, time is ticking and I got a lot of work to do so we shall see what happens.

Current car mods, blah blah all the regular stuff, the lastest cool thing was a Reinforced sub frame w bushings from PBM, solid diff bushings, project mu ebrake shoes (which work awesome hydros are laaame) and urethane bushings for the rear uprights.

Image

Current plans-

VH V8 swap, FD spec roll cage and some small stuff along the way.

Image

Current Progress- gutting interior, stitch welding, Planning out cage, Pulling out gay a** VG engine, Custom Fender Braces, Port matching

Engine mount base plates

Copying the plate ( why do you ask?) because I have the ability to and when I’m done I can have a plate for the ¼ of the price.

Image

As soon as I finish making the plate I’ll put the engine and trans in and start making the motor mounts, headers, and figure out oil pan clearance.

Why would he be down on power? The VG30DE only puts down 220hp at best. The VH is going to make that much just off idle.

for what rd atl? no people have done it with 200whp.

the na has 175 whp and the old turbo motor makes 300+whp

BUT I'll make 300whp AND 250+ torque so id have more torque than a vg30tt, balances out. Plus I have a top secret plan for it.

Good work bro. How much would you charge for a mounting plate for the vh to vg transmission? I don't want to pay like 400 for the mazworx. Thank you.

somehow the hood actually clears, all I did was remove some of the inner skin, no s*** hood scoop required.

still have alot to do but this is more or less on how it will be.

Oh HELL yeah.

DO LIKE.

VH is so underrated. You're gonna LOVE the sound of a VH through open headers... such a sexy sound.

fluxcore welder on engine mount plates?
i'd go back and grind the welds down and mig it with gas or tig...those welds look like alot of spatter and porosity.
are you going to reinforce the xmember any as you removed quite a bit out of it?

update tyyme, update tyyymeee!!!

Im changing some things around, I'm raising the motor and pushing it back some more,
I'm redoing the motor mounts and headers, the motor sat too far down and too far forward to my liking, if I'm gonna do it I'm gonna do it right.

but in the meantime the car is going somewhere for something.....

Again I'm not happy with the way the engine sits
I'm currently redesigning the mounts to pull the motor back 2 inches and up 1 inch, also going to call in some reinforcements and do a rear sump oil pan.
