What's up everyone, this is my first time experiencing something like this, went to take off my tire yesterday and the tire iron I've had for years did not work, is there a special tire iron needed? Also would my 2001 nissan pathfinder have come with one?

Second question, is there a way to unlock the shift if the battery is dead? I need to roll it out of my drive way in order to jump it.

Thanks everyone!

the tire iron is under the back seat, and theres a little plastic peice on your shifter that lifts out, you stick your key in it and you can shift out of park.

Weird thing is, I looked under the back seat did not see it, I will check again, if I cannot find it, what kind of tire iron would I have to buy?

I thought there was a place where you can unlock the shift, I could not find where the plastic piece was, if you don't mind me asking, exactley where is it?

Thanks

The tire iron should be stowed right with the jack under the back seat on the passenger's side. IIRC, the lug nuts are 23mm.

The carpet under the rear seats conceals it a little. lift up both seats just to help you out a little since new only used twice

if the wheels and lugnuts are all factory, the lugnuts are 21mm lugnuts.

you may even possibly find a 21mm socket in one of those socket/wrench sets, just attach a breaker bar to it. torque for the lugnuts are 108 ft/lbs.

and the shift unlock is right where the shift surround is, at least it should be.
