Well a couple weeks ago I bought Rota D2s that are 17x8.5 +20 offset all the way around. I have a 89 240sx hatch, and I am not sure what tire sizes to get for the front and rear. I was thinking 245/40/17 in back but up front i dont know if I should go 225/45/17 or 235/45/17. The car hasnt been lowered yet, but not sure if I could fix 235s up there. Any help is appreciated.

Run whatever you want, nothing a little camber won't fix .

I'd personally try to run 245/40R17 all around if I could... I'd make it fit.

How hard would it be to get 245/40s to fit up front. From what I have seen 8.5 wide wheels with +20 offset appear to be quite flush with the fender as it is, would a fender roll work whenever i lower the car, I would like to avoid messing with camber at this point if possible but if I can make 245s work then thats the size i will get.

You can make it work... my friend just test fitted 255's in front w/ coilovers & similar sizing compared to the rims you wanna get and everything seemed to fit okay.

Alright so my last question is what tire. The two I am deciding between are Yokohama AVS ES100BF Goodrich G-Force Sports

each of them was 110 each on discount tire direct. unless there is a better tire in that price range those are the 2 I am looking at.

One of our sales reps, Cat, just placed 3rd in Novice class (her first championship) @ SCCA AutoX a couple weekends ago, on SS595's.
