First, I apologize if this question has been answered a lot of times already, I did search but could find no definitive answer for these particular wheels.

I have an 08 G35 sedan with the staggered 18 inch wheels and I need new tires.

The stock tire size combo yields very few results so I'm trying to figure out what fits.

From what I gather, you can fit up to 245 width in the front and up to 275 in the rear. The stock rims are however to narrow for 275 so essentially you're limited to 265 in the rear.

The two options i can find would be:

Front: 245/45-18 Rear: 265/40-18 This would make both front and rear diameter slightly smaller (0.3% front 1.5% rear) than stock.

Front: 235/50-18 Rear: 255/45-18 would make both front and rear diameter slightly larger (1.5% front 1.1% rear) than stock.

What sizes are other people running on the stock wheels, any options I am overlooking?

I run 255/45 18 in back and 245/45/18 in front and couldn't be happier. Back tire is the ideal width for the rim, front tire is 1/2 in wider than ideal but still well within the range of the tire. Front will sit about 1/4 in. lower with the 245/45 vs the 235/50 (26.7 in. dia. vs 27.3) and 1/8 in. lower than stock. Rear will rise imperceptibly.
