I recently read the thread regarding the date codes on tires. I just remembered about it today. So, I went outside to check them on my new tires. Two of them have no date stamped on them. The little bubble that should have the date code is completely void of any marking at all. What does that mean?

I hope it doesn't mean BC. Try looking on the inside...

I did the same thing with my tires. The fronts have a barcode... and the rears have nothing. I asked at Discount, as to the lack of a date code, and they said it's because the series of tires is only 6 months old.

So does that mean when I was only 6 months old, a DOB still had to be determined for me? Stupid.

*edit* Just noticed I passed 1000 posts, at 1018.

I checked on the other side of the tires- still, no date codes.

I'd suspect more than new tires. I'd contact DOT and see what they say. (Are they seconds?)

I googled DOT date codes tires missing and got a few hits. The results are unanimous that the date code needs to be there, and that it is probably on the inside. I'd suggest that you look closely at the tires, and reGoogle the same thing I did. (I don't want to link to other forums from here).

I think you got $ucked by the dealer?

After I discovered two old tires from 2003, I called the dealer where I purchased them and they replaced the two tires at no charge. Washed and vaccumed my G also,
