Unfortunately, I don't think I could afford new rims, so I might have to stick with the OEM 15"...
Question is, I was looking at some possible tires and I was considering getting P205/50/15 tires such as the Yokahama AVS ES100 or the Kuhmo ECSTA 712, or Falken Azenis...
I was quoted like $150/tire on the Yokohamas, as well the dude on the phone said 205/50/15 would be really bad for the car and recommended not getting it.
What do you guys think? (and yes, I've used the Searchfeature on NICO)...
Bye!
Hey buddy, Discount Tire Direct has those Yokos for 92 bucks each. And im sure other places have the cheaper. $150 is ridiculous so watch out.
Im running 205/50/15 on my car right now. They are Falken 512 Ziex. Super sticky in dry and wet weather and the wear isnt that bad. I got them for 60 bucks each installed.
Aries, in another thread, had said the widest you can go on the stock 15" rim is 235. So next im buying 2 225/50/15 for the back of the same Ziex 512. I kinda went thru the back tires pretty quick in 3 months ive had them:( But that was because i was excited i had the car and i was doing burnout and drifts like crazy.
I had bought the Falken Azenis for my civic (195-50-14) but i crashed the car before i put them on. I sold them to my friend and the tires are awsome in dry weather and suck in wet weather. They also wear out quicker than my Ziex 512's. I wish i had the money to drop on the 502's.
The Kumho 712 are awesome too. Perfect for wet and dry weather and the wear isnt bad. I recommend theses too.
Id get something wide all around. Like 225-50-15 all around. 205 still seem too skinny. Only down side to the 50 series, is it increases fender gap. I wish my car was dropped like 2":(
