Buy a set from Les Schwab. Get the good set with the chain links; don't get the cable-type chains; they're useless. You'll only need to purchase a set for your front wheels (even if the car is AWD, per factory recommendation). If you don't use the chains, you can return them to Les Schwab next spring and get your money back. I just keep a set in the storage cubby in the trunk (it just fits). Finally, fair warning, if you end up using chains, expect scratches on your wheels. There's no work-around on this; they will get scratched. I keep the chains in my trunk in case I get into an emergency (we do a lot of skiing in BC each winter). A better alternative, of course, would be to get a good set of snow tires, but that can get pretty expensive.
