Just picked up my '01 Q45T from having MXV4'Vs installed (thanks Grant!)But either the balancing was not done correctly or I 've got some (one or more) bad tires. I can remember some posts saying that the road force or amount of weight shoud be within a certain range.............but I have searched and cannot locate this info. on the board.I had the rotors turned and new brakes at the same time, so I don't think it's from the brakes. The tech said 3 out of 4 tires were at more than 15lbs. of road force.Any thoughts are appreciated!

Usually with top end Michelins it is a wheel problem. What do the wheels alone measure [with dial indicators [lateral and radial runout and residual imbalance]. Are they in spec?

Wheels can be put on a standard electronic balancer without tires, the wheels should be no more than 5-7 grams out per side to get to perfect high resolution 0/0......quick and dirty test.

I like to see no more than 5 pounds of tire/wheel combo radial force imbalance 15 is quite feelable. Since the Hunter machine doesn't press with the full force of car weight.......actual on the car numbers are higher.

Hard to get/keep tires wheels at road operating temperature on a Hunter as 70F [inside might be ok for winter] but not near 130F in Summer.

Tire maintenance and optimization can cost more than the purchase price of tires.......if done every 6 months or every 8,000 miles [the point increment at which tires change].

Brand new tires should be run 500 miles before the Radial force measurements optimization or again after 500 miles if done when new.

Keeping tires under 5 grams of imbalance means monthly balances as the tread wears.

Thanks for the help, Dennis! (I'm not worthy!)I knew I had read your posts at some point giving the weights and road force tollerances that you try to stay within. Here's my only problem/situation...Both the Infiniti dealer and Tire Rack are telling me that anything less than 20lbs of road force is acceptable.........and like you said , 15 lbs of road force is noticeable. Graaaaaanttttt, HHHHHHHHHHHHHellp!! !!!!!!

So, Luckly Grant seems to be a good guy, and the guys at the Infiniti store are easy to work with, so I'll let you know how this works out. Thanks again for the feedback.
