first off, thanks to the member of this forum who helped choose the kumho ecsta mx's for my s14, they are a great tire!! so here's the deal, b4 and currently my steering wheel wobbles everynow and then during freeway speeds, and after about a day, the kumhos in the front have a rough outer edge kinda feathered, is that normal wear? or is it alginment or tire pressure or both?

where do u guys recomend i get an alignment around SF bay area?

thanks again!!

The wear could be caused by a couple things. The outer edge of the front tires generally wears fastest.. but not in one day.

That sounds odd, or you spent an hour or so coming in hot from the freeway... hitting the cloverleaf righthander at 60+mph :)

After one day, you shouldn't have excessive abnormal shoulder wear, from regular street use.

Tire pressure over time can be indexed/recorded (also you can get crazy and measure tire temp... money cures everything!)....... and you can masterfully dial in the ideal pressures within a given range of outside temperature and weather variables. Hot/rain/snow conditions all require different tires.

If the vibration was there before, and it shakes still, don't rule out a bent wheel as the culprit. You say it shakes every now & then.. perhaps the nylon cap ply in the tire is not at ideal operating temp at the time you feel the shake, or the balance performed was not optimized.

As far as where to go for alignment... I don't live there, but you could ask your dad or your friends and find out who they use.
