Tire Air Pressure Leak - Monitoring System?

My tire air pressure monitoring system seems to have a leak. We have purchased new tires and that does not seem to solve the issue. It appears to be one wheel in particular, the passenger right rear tire.

Any suggestions, when I take it in they can't seem to find the problem or aren't looking?

Tire Pressure Monitor System (TPMS) by itself cannot leak. It could be the TPMS sensor/valve assembly that may be leaking or may be a puncture on the tire. Take out the tire and inspect it thoroughly for improper installation or puncture. Have you tried the 'bubble' test (place liquid soap, Dawn, on the tire valve and around the edge of the tire and look for bubbles)? The tire and installation should have a warranty so the shop should fix it if there is a leak and you can prove it. OEM TPMS sensor is @ $100.

There is an O-ring where the monitor protrudes through the wheel.

Did you say the leak started after changing the tire? Was the monitor unmounted during the change? Just things to check.

The tire was changed to try and solve the leak. I am not sure about the undermounting and will have to have that checked. Thanks!

Thanks for the response, I will try what you have suggested. Plus it gives me something to suggest, when I take it in. Though you would think they would already know to test those things. Thanks!
