manual shift mode is too slow!... anyone know how to downshift from 5th straight to 3rd (without passing through 4th)? ecu mod?

so, ecu mod was a stupid idea. now i better understand what's involved... valve body will improve shifting time, but wont help for downshifting.

i realize that 4th probably can't get skipped, so how can downshifting lag time be decreased? thanks
