Tips/tricks for using a service lift?

I just purchased a 2009 versa. I own a 2-post rotary assymetric lift (much like most dealerships) with flip-up pads. Is there anything special I need to do for this car/unibody when mounting it on the lift?

I've been doing my own work for a while now and am a bit of a gear-head, but mostly I deal with Old Iron or vehicles that have frames, so I'm a bit out of my depth with these smaller unibody cars. To give you an idea, 95% of my tools are SAE, cause I rarely use metric (yes, THAT old).

I realize this may be a bit of a simplistic/stupid question, but I'd hate to mess anything up by missing something I'm just not used to. If anybody has experience here, I'd appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

Just put the posts where it shows you to put the tire jack. I have put mine on all 4 jackstands. No damage, this car is light.

i have use a similar style lift at my friends shop. nothing special with this car just lift it from the lift points and you're fine. If your shop is small like my friends don't let the hood hit the roof.

ha.haha.hahahahahahaha...

Surely you jest... This is what currently spends the most time on my lift...For reference, those are 38.5" tall tires, and that grey thing in the background is a frontier crew-cab... When I built the lift bay, I specifically put in 15' walls so I would NEVER have a problem with overhead clearance for anything capable of fitting on the lift itself

The owners manual shows the jacking points. You dont want to lift directly on the pinch welds. You may want to use some pinch weld adapters.

Yeah, manufactured by Kaiser, but is essentially a Jeep (has JEEP stamped into the tailgate).

AH-HA! that makes PERFECT sense, and answers my biggest question. Those aren't priced too badly either... Thank you sir!
