Tips on taking off pinstripes??

Ok... Ive done a little research and Im pretty sure that my pinstripes on my 1999 Maxima are on top of the clear coat... I want to take them off... Any tips? What I have heard so far is that a hair dryer and GOO GONE works best... any other suggestions would be great... i dont wanna hurt the paint or the car at all... ao thanks guys

OH and will taking off my silver pinstripes leave small white lines on my white car because of sun fading? thats the only BIG worry i have...

I want to do the same thing on my 1998 I30 and have the exact same questions. I was just gonna stick my nails there and rip it off. I hope we get some ideas...

Heat gun, glass cleaner (sprayaway preferably), then do a serious wax job where the stripes used to be. And yes, the paint will show where the stripes were.

so i did it and found that a hair dryer and goo gone works best... after that a nice wash... soon to post pics

I would advise using 3M adhesive remover over goo gone. If I remember correctly goo gone is not recommended for use on clear coat.
