Hey guys. I currently own a 02' Acura TL Type S and am seriously considering upgrading to a M35 Sport. What known issues should I look out for? Whats the difference between an 06 and 07 sport model? I've been keeping my eye out for one with navi and existing warranty.

There are very few regular complaints as a whole, a few little things. Many people are pleased with owning an M. Reading through this forum will give you a good idea of what some people think about them and some of the observed complaints.

I would strongly advise you consider getting an Infiniti Elite warranty that will kick in when your factory expires. This is a great piece of mind, it costs a little more but being able to go into the dealer and not have to pay a deductable on a car that is out or warranty. If you are looking for something with low <30K I would say take a close look at a certified model. They usually have much better finance rates too.

Good Luck with the hunt, if you have already driven an M you will know why many of the people here love them.

There's not a whole lot, of difference, if any, between the 06 and 07 models. The big changes happened in 08. I have an 06 and love it.

There was one MAJOR change between the 06 and the 07....the passenger seat. The 06 seat had limited adjustments and was almost universally uncomfortable for anyone sitting in that seat. In 07, they changed to a passenger seat with the same adjustments as the driver's seat.

If you don't think this is a big change....sit in both of them for even a short drive.

(I had an 06M...now driving an 08M)

Here is my tip:

Get an M45 instead.

Agree! The mileage difference is only 1 mpg.Used pricing for a 2006 M35 Sport vs M45 Sport is less than $1k!

M45 is a no-brainer! I would only do M35 if you badly require AWD which is only available in 2006-2007 M35x

Cheers!

The difference in used car price may be small, but was a factor when I was buying brand new, M35 versus M45. Also, back then, gas was over $4.00/gallon and the M45 eight cylinder seemed overkill. The 09 model M35 with increased HP bump closes the gap on the power issue.
