I hate taking my Z to a touchless car wash or even to a place where workers will do it manually because it always comes out spotty & streaky because they never dry it properly.

So, 9 times out of 10 I wash it myself .. but even I have the same problem of streaks & watermarks being left because of the car's shape.

Anyone have any helpful tips for when washing the exterior of this sexy piece of machinery?

This is item is incredible! This is a must for any serious car owner. It will get 90% of the water with no spots or streaks. For the rest of the water use a 100% microfiber rag. They will not scratch your paint. The saying you get what you pay for applies here. Anyone wanting their Z to shine like glass and smooth to the touch check out Zaino products. http://www.zainostore.com

I give them two thumbs up for the best car cleaning products on the market!! They only thing is that you have to order it online, because they are not sold in stores. They do have really fast shipping though.

+1 - the water blade is amazing for getting 95% of the water off your car - just wipe it all off with the blade, and then the small spots you missed use a microfiber towel to get the little bits of water. It really works great

I'll give it a try .. but any idea if a Canadian company sells them? A $10 product is going to cost me $30 after the shipping & surcharges.

Zaino is super excellent.....but I use Meguairs & clean micro towels.

Don't laugh some guys use leaf blowers to dry off cars.....I use it sometimes to blow off dirt.

Yea use the same method as washing your car. Start at the top and work your way down. Other companies (Canadian) might make something similar but the California Water Blade is truely the best one. They use their signature t-blade that gets more water off without scratching than your standard blade. It sucks about your shipping charges, but I def would get one when you can

If your worried about streaks buy the spray on wax. Its in a blue bottle and says something like "Wax as you wash". It takes an extra 5mins to put on and will take away all those streaks and add a smooth finish. I do wax my car but this is good when you just want to give it that "just waxed" look.

Meguirs Quick Detailer also removes water marks.

I use that mr. clean car wash and it doesn't streak or spot. Best part is you don't have to dry the car when you are done it all just runs off.

When you're done washing use this yellow wax. It's the best stuff in the world. Sells for about $20 a can, lasts for a while, easy to apply and take off and doesn't leave any white crap or dust anywhere in small corners, creases, emblems etc.

The blades will damage paint if not properly washed...After washing your car have 6-8 towels (terry cotton or microfiber) and go all round wiping the car, doesnt matter if its dry as long as you soak up some water... then repeat until dry.... this is the best way that ive tried. I leave my hatch, doors and hood open and usually go through 6 towels including windows.

Also hear how great Zaino is, however I am currently using Turtle and Meguirs wax/polish and am perfectly happy.

Ive seen some Zaino apps and they look amazing, but why stray away from something thats working right?
