I know this does not exactly apply to rbs but when i was scrapin away at mine. Razor blade gasket remover and believe it or not PB blaster* works like a CHAMP!!! It pretty much saved my life. Also scrappers are ALL junk everyone was right razor blades thats it.

I probly spent 8 hours on my motor..........just scrappin away.......and away...maybe those rolac disc things are worth the "risk". Im not even kidding like two cases of beer two days and cut up fingers.

I like using a steel brush to remove gasket material!

Not sure how much you spent on yours. But if you have an Kragen(o'reilly??/checker???) I would recommend CRC gasket remover.



Some stores sell it for 6, some sell it for 8. But you spray, and let it sit for a few minutes.
