At one point I had relatively new pcv's. after a track day and dumping oil out thru the pcv's, I started having a nasty rear main seal leak after hard runs up the canyons. It would be dripping oil rather quickly.
Replacing the pcv's virtually eliminated the rms leak. A year has gone by and the seal is beginning to leak again and I suspect that the sealis bad. With 142k on the odo, I am still putting off the replacement until the clutch is closer to death.
So, in conclusion, If your pcv's are clogged, they can cause the rms to leak. If the seals are original, they'll need replacing soon anyways. Ideally, you want to do it when the clutch needs to be replaced.
I did a little tips-n-tricks write-up on another site for the pcv's. Sadly the pics got lost tho. The best piece of advice I can give is to remove the d/s intake tube and reach from there back to the hose when trying to remove it.
