Always pull your dipstick when pulling the pan. This is very common occurrence afterward. When you re-installed the pan, you got the tip stuck between the pan and the block. You broke it off trying to remove it. You will have to pull your pan, get that piece out, reseal the pan, then put in a new dipstick.OMAR-Z32 wrote:yeah it is the metal tip at the end that broke off. you see i changed my oil pan and dopped the motor in, and later that night i tried to pull of the dipstick and it was stuck so i yanked really hard and it came out but with the tip gone, im guessing that since it was stuck then the tip must be jammed somehwere, but im afraid it will damage my crank or somthing. and i dont wana go though the trouble of taking of the oil pan again.
