I'm curious to hear about the procedure/chemical combo. If I were to get mine done what and who would you recommend or maybe I can cruz up to AZ.
thanks for the nice comments guys, cake your M is super bad ***, I would like to get your look down with the wheels, I've been looking for a while for a set that looks right, with out copying your car to much. As far as the mix I still have to ask my father in law, He said it was a black toner mixed with an adherent to bond to plastic ???? I'm no paint guy so I'll get back to you on the technical stuff. It was super easy, about three to four coats with 5 min between and then a few coats of clear and an hour in the sun to dry. I think any good body/paint shop will know how to do it, the paint looks so much better then the film, and you can vary the level of tint. It would be a lot easier to do if you had an unpainted set to base it off of, because when your one or two coats in to it, it is really hard to tell what they started out at. Just a suggestion. I think I would have been safe with one coat less or one coat more, any thing else would have been unoticable or just plain black all the time. I think I'll leave the side markers whit for a while, maybe if I can pick up a set and test them out, also my buddy was trying to get me to do the headlights and I was like well if it looks terrible that would be a 14-1800 dollar mistake. not willing to take the risk. also I'm trying to locate a grill or make one up to get rid of the oval, if it came off of the stock one and didn't leave a huge hole I would be set because I really like our grills how the are but that is not the case unfortunently.
