Well, dropped off my Versa yesterday to have the windows tinted. It turned out great. This is the third vehicle in the past several years I have had done by this particular place and they go a great job. Formula One Performance film was used and it has a lifetime warranty. I will try to post pics later. They did comment on the dash airbag cover being loose and I had to tell them I knew that!! Brand new vehicle and I have to keep explaining to folks why the dash looks like it does. The Nissan service department supposedly has the part ordered but it is on national backorder, yeh right! I told him when I called that Nissan was getting a bad rep by allowing this to continue, hopefully that will rush things up. But, the tint really is going to keep things cooler from the looks of it.

on the subject of your airbag cover being loose,I had the same issue. all you have to do is pull the whole piece off (it is very simple it just snaps off) then but it back in place. then the whole peice will attach correctly. just FYI

Thanks for the info. I took it to the dealer and they said something was broke. There doesn't appear to be anything broke to me. I am wondering if they even tried to do anything. Mine is loose in the drivers side corner toward the windshield. Is this the same place yours was loose at? Could you explain a little more how you removed and then reinstalled yours? Thanks again.

Same problem, same place, same explanation, same wait... I hate to fool with anything related with the airbag, but if it really can be popped back in even if it's broken, maybe I'll give it a try, too, and can stop apologizing for the way it looks!

The section that was loose on my car was the 'carbon fiber' looking plastic that is on the passenger side. i just got my fingers under the side that was loose then pulled on the whole thing. I made some snapping sound but it came off then i just aligned it right them popped it back on.

The part that is loose is up on the dash, the brown part. It is close to the windshield on the left corner. It sounds like you had a different part loose.

Yes, I got everything but the windshield tinted. It is the darkest that is legal in N.C and I believe it is 35%. I may be wrong on the percentage but I think that is correct. It helps with the interior temperature a bunch.
