i bought my 04 G used and the previous owner already had the windows tinted to about 35% and i want to have darker windows and was wondering if its smart to just put like another film of tint over the 35% or will that burn out the window regulator?...i've read that even though the tint film is so thin....the windows will go up and down slower than usual and..it can burn out the motor since it has on two layers...i was going to just have a tint shop just remove all together and then just completely redo the tint...but since my bank account and got a lot of money...i was seeking alternative ways...but i think im just going to have to save up some more money and do it right...as far as the back window..im scared that the tint shop will break some of the defrost lines on the back window so i was just going to put like another 35% over that since that window doesnt go up and down...would this be smart or should i just take off the 35% completely and just start from scratch?

My worry in doing dual applications is that the visibility will be horrible.

Tint film usually blurs visibility slightly. Adding another layer of film can only serve to make it worse.

This is especially critical on the rear window where the angle of the window makes the film very blurry. Adding a second layer would probably make your rear window look like shower glass.

Here's some quick info on the defrosters:
