If you had your windows tinted, did they tint the little front porthole windows? My most experienced local shop says they won't do them because the window is too small and they can't get the squeegee in. I'm afraid the car will look dumb if all the windows are tinted except for those. One other shop implied they would do the small windows but they are very new and I haven't seen any of their work. Any one been through this?

Mine were included when I got tint installed. They were free, unlike some places that charge an extra $25 for the little windows.

If I were you I would look for a shop with more competent installers.

The place I went to tinted the small windows. I asked them if they would, and they said sure. So yes, it can be done. Mine have been tinted for over a year, and still look great!Try another shop, and a place that gives you a lifetime warranty on the film is a bonus I paid $200 for them to tint all the windows (except front windshield) and that included a lifetime warranty.

The actual term is called 'opera windows' non functional but used for automobile styling.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I only have three shops available to choose from. The one that won't do the small windows is over 20 years old and has the best reputation so I was surprized teo hear they wouldn't do the small windows. Of the other shops, one is very new and the other one's facility doesn't inspire confidence. I'll have to talk to a few more people around here before I decide where to go.

Thank you for the update in terms. In my past experience the term "opera windows" only applied to the rear side windows in the "C" pillar. This was most prevalant on cars with vinyl tops. Yes, I'm OLD.

Mine were done as well, but I was charged an extra $10 for each window along with the $200 I has already paid to do all the other windows with a lifetime warranty. Good luck with your search.
