BEFOREAFTERDone with the vht niteshades spray, plus a clearcoat. I haven't compounded the clear yet though, they'll end up a bit shinier than that. What do you guys think?

Cool thanks! Is it pretty easy?I've thought about doing that but probably wouldn't want to go that dark. I'd either do that or get these:Do ya'll think these look cheesy/cheap?

yeah man so easy, and sooo much cheaper than those lights. The can of paint was $20 shipped, and it took me maybe two hours.

1) remove lights (two screws and a wiring harness)2)wipe down with paint thinner/wax remover3) as many coats as you want of the paint4) clearcoat5) reinstall/ wetsand and compound

and I dont know about the lights- from the picture they look a little cheesy, but i guess I'd have to see them on the car

yeah I got the clear on, I'll wait a couple more days, then wetsand with 1500 grit, and compound with 3 succesively finer grits of rubbing compound... that'll get them as glossy as you could possibly want

Force it out. The 2 screws are all that holds it. Try to pull straight back. There is 2 Christmas tree type clips on the very outside of the light that you cant get access to. Even if you break them, the light will still remount fine

They're 10mm bolts with Phillips heads; use a ratchet to remove the bolts, you might have better luck.

I love that looks with the white only showing! Did you cover the whole tailight then use a razor blade to cut out the white areas?

Yes I did. That is the easiest way IMO

Looks good but I hope you don't get ticketed for it. Tinting taillights is illegal because it reduces the brightness of the factory federal regulated lights even though it is transparent. If you look on the can I'm sure it will say somewhere on there "For off road use only". I know people do it but I also know people that got tickets too. Good luck.
