hey i was thinking how easy would it be to tint your own windows if u took the door panel off and pulled the whole sheet of glass out and tinted it that way instead of puting it on the car while the glass was in place?

My opinion is that you should get it professionally tinted, i laugh at cars with bubbles in the tint (home hack jobs).

But really it wouldnt make a difference because you would still have to tint the rest of the windows while they are in the car.

It's a lot easier to pull the windows and do it, if you are going to do it yourself. But good luck with the back window.

Ok, now that I think about it, there's gotta be an easy way to take out the rear window. I know with the fastbacks you can take off the whole hatch, but there's still gotta be a way to get the glass off with a S13 coupe or S14. Anybody done it?

well i was just talking about the windows on the doors since they would come out pretty easy. whats it take to tint a window a scraper a spray bottle and a blade to pop any bubbles u get which you shouldnt in the first place if u wet the window down and use the scraper right.

NO NO NO! Don't pop the bubbles!

You're gonna wanna get a small squeegee along with that spray bottle. Spray the window with soapy water, apply the tint (that you already cut to fit), then smooth out any bubbles with the squeegee, going from the middle of the window to the outside. The water will keep it from sticking to the window early on and will dry on its own.

Its not that difficult if you take your time most imprtantly!!!! Use the right tools!!! And DON't use ghetto autozone tint. If you do decide to do it yourself once you have finished be sure and not roll down the windows for like 36-48hrs to be safe. Goodluck.
