My celica is pretty dark though, never gotton anything said to me about that.coleycole wrote:$175 is a fair price there aren't too many places that will charge less then that. and if they do i would question the quality.
I have 20% all around on my Zr with a 3" eyebrow on the front windshield.

you have two Z's??Rare_f8 wrote:Often called smoked, than tinted.
You might have to look at laws mandating the proper colors for turn signals, reverse, and stop lights.Retired Chief wrote:The VA tint laws posted above are all over the internet and they're slightly off. Take out the "more than" and it's correct (except for the reflective part). http://leg1.state.va.us/000/cod/46.2-1052.HTMI can't find smoked tail laws for VA anywhere.

ooooh gotcha. haha.Rare_f8 wrote:Actually if you count the 300zx I have 4 Z's....
Not.. I only have my 300zx.... I borrowed that picture to show the smoked taillights. I hunt the 350z for parts.
p.s. I might lend some care.
hmmm, the place I'm going to sat is 165 or 185 can't remember, and thats just for the legal limit. They said it would be a tad more if I wanted to go darkerRetired Chief wrote:Today, I received 4 price quotes for tinting my Z to VA state legal limits.$120, $125, $139 and $150. The guy who quoted me $139 said that for an extra $20 he would use a higher quality tint that has a life time warranty and will never turn purple. I’ve never heard of this. Is he talking BS?
I also asked all 4 places about having my tails smoked and all 4 said it is illegal in the state of VA regardless of how light/dark the smoke is.
Thanks for the info. But, it would take me about 2 hours to drive there. They would have to be really cheap for me to make the drive and then I would question the quality of the work.hsckris wrote:If you haven't done the tint yet, check out Car Toyz in Midlothian. I know several people who have had their cars tinted there.
