$175 is a fair price there aren't too many places that will charge less then that. and if they do i would question the quality.

I have 20% all around on my Zr with a 3" eyebrow on the front windshield.

VA Tint LawsWindshield Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.

Front Side Windows Must allow more than 50% of light in.Back Side Windows Must allow more than 35% of light in.Rear Window Must allow more than 35% of light in. Front Side Windows Must not be more than 20% reflective.Back Side Windows Must not be more than 20% reflective.

The tint color(s) of RED AMBER YELLOW are not legal by state law.

aside from that, seems like someone is bored this Saturday.

Va tint laws sucks 50% in front windows... I am not a fan of mismatching window tints. So 50% all around would be how I would do it if I lived in VA.

But luckly me 35% here in NE...with 35% reflect all the way around...

I'm in Lincoln, Ne. I just had my tint done. They had to remove some lighter tint and then do new tint. It cost me $200, which is pretty average. They will also do it illegally dark. I got 15% all the way around, and am VERY happy with it. It is dark enough to look very good, but not so dark that it is dangerous at night. The cops here don't really bother with tint that is close to legal either.

The VA tint laws posted above are all over the internet and they're slightly off. Take out the "more than" and it's correct (except for the reflective part). http://leg1.state.va.us/000/cod/46.2-1052.HTMI can't find smoked tail laws for VA anywhere.

Today, I received 4 price quotes for tinting my Z to VA state legal limits.$120, $125, $139 and $150. The guy who quoted me $139 said that for an extra $20 he would use a higher quality tint that has a life time warranty and will never turn purple. I’ve never heard of this. Is he talking BS?

I also asked all 4 places about having my tails smoked and all 4 said it is illegal in the state of VA regardless of how light/dark the smoke is.

You might have to look at laws mandating the proper colors for turn signals, reverse, and stop lights.

If you haven't done the tint yet, check out Car Toyz in Midlothian. I know several people who have had their cars tinted there.

Thanks for the info. But, it would take me about 2 hours to drive there. They would have to be really cheap for me to make the drive and then I would question the quality of the work.
