Hey guys,

Im thinking about tinting the car and want to know;1) What kind of tint you used2) What the % darkness was3) How much you paid for them

AND4) PICTURES PICTURES PICTURES

Itd be good to have people post pictures so people can compare what %'s they are looking for. Thanks!

I have Luminar tints on mine 5% in the back and the little windows and 20% on the fronts. I love them and it definitely keeps the car cooler in the summer. I paid $200 for them to be installed.

i got 35% all the way aroundfilm is made by solar guard, cause it had lifetime warranty on itgotta keep it legal cause i hawaii has some stupid laws about tints

its real easy to track someone and gain personal info by the license plate number. identity theft, stalking, that kinda crazy stuff

You can always go back and modify your post to hide your plate...since we ALL know where you live, how many kids you have what your wifes name is and what you did last night.....

Hundreds of other people see my license plate daily on the road. I'm not real worried about hiding it here, although I suppose I will. You could get more personal information by checking my profile anyway.

Search around online... some tinting companies have a chart for legal tinting in each state.

Its good to know im not the only one that didnt get the dot matrix tinted.. the guy i took it to didnt even tell me he wasnt gonna do it! And that 3rd break light cutout is really startin to bug me.

Dont know what kind.. went to a local shop..15% all around$165

Hey guys, I am getting my new 09 Coupe at the beginning of the week. I just had a couple ?'s regarding tint.

I noticed that most of you guys did not have the huge dot matrix on the back tinted, is there a reason for this? Is the antenna in the glass there? I will probably end of getting a piece of vinyl stuck over it to make it look as good as possible.

Also, I noticed that a few of you had tint over the 3rd brake light, does it still look good lite up through the tint? Could someone possibly post a pic of their tinted 3rd brake light in action?

As far as there being no tint over the dot matrix.. The guy that did mine said that the tint has trouble sticking to it but there are several guys that have that tinted with no problems. Tintin is a talent and every one you take it to will have a different level of comfort tinting different areas.

As far as the 3rd brake light... the guy didnt even ask me he just went and cut it out

The secret is to use sandpaper on the dotmatrix and then wipe it clean before tinting. I didnt cut out the 3rd brake light. I like it tinted.

Don't know the brand or kind, but 35% all around. I believe I paid about $250.

Cool thanks... im thinking about getting my back window re-tinted so the dot matrix and the 3rd brake light is tinted too.

Can you, or anyone who has the 3rd light tinted, take a pic of it at night so i can see how it looks when it lights up.. thanks

i dont mind the dot matrix not being tinted, looks fine on mine. but the 3rd brake light should not be cut out. imo

Mine are 20% all around, including the dot matrix. Ill put up pictures when it stops pouring out.
