Tint Questions
Hey guys I just got a quote for tint for my car and they said they used Suntek is that a good brand? And does anyone have pics of suntek tint installed or pics of 35% and 20%?

i dont know about where you live, but in north carolina i think past 25% is illegal. just lettin you know

The legal limit in NC is 35% with i think like 3% variance so it could be 32% I think.

It's not worth going to dark and getting hassled by the local and state LEO. Try to be close to compliant to the state laws and you'll be better off!

Chicago city cops are the only LEOs who have ever given me trouble with the tint. It's illegal on the front windows in IL, and I'm at 20%. It's gotten me a few tickets, but at only $20 each I just pay them and move on with my life. Except for Pennsylvania...I've been reading up on tint laws in our state since I want to tint my windows and apparently the legal limit is 70% (30% light blocked), wtf?dangeris wrote:Try to be close to compliant to the state laws and you'll be better off!
I've talked to a few owners of Honda coupes on campus in Philadelphia, apparently cops in the city don't care (obvious reasons) but the state police and some in the suburbs will pull you over depending on their mood...

I'm from PA and when I lived there I was pulled over 3 times within 2 months
My mom was pulled over 2 times within 3 months
And my sister was pulled over 2 times within 4 months.
PA are some ***holes about tint. Granted I had it 20% and 35% windsheild, got my mom 35% for mothers day, and my sister had my old altima with 20% we were in the wrong. But the thing that kinda pissed me off was every cop that pulled us over gave us a different % allowage and laws on which windows could be tinted. It's not like they were police from different parts of the state, they were all locals from within a 10 mile radius.
So glad i'm away from that now
