Hello everyone. I'm wondering... is $185 for all windows except for the windshield a good price? I'm thinking of getting 20% for all of them. What do you guys think? The company I'm going with is Precision Window Tinting in Victorville, CA by the way.

Mine cost $195 which I thought a little high but the dealer took care of getting to the tint shop and back. The tint was already done when I took delivery so the conveniece made up for the price. I don't know about per centage, I just told them the darkest legal in my state

I actually got my tinting thrown in free. Did limo on the back (5% i believe?) and 35% on the doors (street legal)

I'm having a company come to my work and they are doing it for 160-170 and will have it done before lunch time. Lifetime guarantee. I'm going with all dark cept the driver and pass window which will be medium.

At those prices, you guys are talking about middle of the road metallic film. Top of the line metallic film should run you over $200. Very good ceramic film, like 3M, should run you about $300. And, of course, HuperOptik should run you about $400.

If you are doing this to reject heat and infrared rays, go with the best you can. If you doing this only for appearance sake, just remember you might have to pay to have this removed and replaced in 2-3 years. It is cheaper to pay more now for a top quality film than to have to pay twice for the same lower quality film.

Thank you for that information, dmkozak! I'm going to ask if they have different kinds of tint.

The usual options are: 5% (limo), 20%, 35%.

Just be careful and look up the tint laws for yourself.

Michigan:No tint on windshieldDriver/Passenger windoews Any, but only the top 4" of the windowBack windows and rear window Any.

The 4" looks rediculous so I had all my windows done.On my G35 I did 5% in the back, 35% in the front 2 windows.

I got pulled over once (1 month ago) in the 5 years I owned the car. fine was $125. However if I had the tint removed and took it to a police station they would waive it all together. I thought it was a secondary offense, but apparently they can pull you over for tint alone. Oh well.

So I'm going to get the same thing this time. If I get caught I'll try to get the tint removed and put back on for under $100.

I do not know what kind of car you drive, but I own a 2007 Altima 3.5, and in order to get those tinted, they have to install felt on the window panel. which is $25 for each window. I think is because thats an extra $100 on top of $180.

but good luck!!!!!!!!
