I have been reading alot about the timming chain problems on the Q45 when do they go and how can I tell if they were done. The car I have has about 137,00 on it I picked it up cheep. I am going to take the drive train out of it and put it in a 1983 Jaguar xjs. I will be replacing the cam cover gaskets they are leaking and I may put injectors in it one is bad and the others have high ohms readings. Any info will help. Also if anyone needs parts the body and frame is rotted but the car has alot of great parts everything works. Thanks Dana

That's a really cool project. The XJS is dead sexy. Keep us posted on your progress.

See Q45.org if you haven't already for lots of great info on the chain guides.
