Hello all it has been awhile other family members are driving the 2 Js, I need some eclectic wisdom.
I am changing the timing belt and broke the arm on the tensioner which is only used to install a bolt and prevent it from
moving during shipping and part removal. I used a clamp to get the tensioner off. can I reuse the tensioner with out this arm?

you can drive without that piece, its just going to be a pain to get the tensioner to go back in so you can get the belt on.

Thanks I assumed that just needed the warm fuzzy, it is only a couple of years old.

That part was already broke when I did my belt.
Just be sure and get the proper tension on the Belt and DANG sure torque the bolts to spec so she doesn't move.

I broke mine when trying to get a little more room to put my new timing belt back on.

You can use tie wire to keep it open, put the belt on, and then snip the tie wire and remove :)

Dont waste you money on a new one. Just make sure your bearing is smooth with no play. ( you can buy the bearing separately)
