I have seen my tuner do it ... but it was a battle to get it on and I was impressed ot see it done .... none the less it would take a lot longer take to bumper coveroff, then the intercooler, then pull the fans, then radiator, then crank pully, and finily the cover

dont pry the belt on.

your better off taking the crank pulley off, so you can slowly walk the belt over the crank and cam sprockets.

if you force the belt and nick it, you might as well throw it away.

Just take the cover off. It to much of a risk. Mine came off pretty easy. I pulled the HB with no problems. I had to take my radiator out to do it though. And remember you shouldn't but a stock timing belt back on after taking it off. It stretches and can break if restretched. Power Industries makes a no strech timing belt that I believe you can mount more than once. Thought I'd mention it, just in case.

I don't think you can do this without taking the crank pulley off, since you have to time the belt correctly. There is a mark on the belt that matches a mark on the crank gear, and if you do not take off the crank pulley then you won't be able to see the marks.

sooo is it possible to replace the water pump without pulling everything apart... Can you just pull of the timing belt, yank the pump, put the new pump on, and then slip a new belt over it? Help a noob!
