93 J30 w/ 83K

Timing belt was changed in 98 with 36k on the J. From the service history printout it looks like it was done as warranty along with a bunch of other maintenance at Scottsdale Infiniti.

Would they have put on a 60K belt in 98? Or is it a 100K belt?

If I pull an upper cover will I be able to find a part number and check that???

IF 60K then I need to change it soon!!!

Thanks, Matt

If it was changed in 98 then almost certainly it is a 100k belt. That is unless the dealership had some of the old stock sitting on the shelves. I have no idea how to tell the difference between them. Might want to give Joe a call.

Did they replace the cam and crank seals, etc. when they were in there? If not, even it has the 100K belt, might be worth it to do that at some point before the next belt change.

At least you have records indicating a timing belt change, I got mine with 100K and all the records at Infiniti stop at 60K with no belt change. Then then is a gap until about 90K. They may have had it all done somewhere else, but we are going to have everything done just to be sure.
