Make sure your spark plug is gapped correctly and use a timing gun to retard timing. I got that done at the dyno shop and got rid of detonation. I dont think AFC neo has timing control unless if you have a ECU tune.

the safc neo does not have timing control.

you can get something like a msd 6/btm to control timing though.

With the amount of money of buying SAFC and MSD btm you coulda bought an Enthalpy tuned ECU for the same price.

Save yourself the trouble and do it the right way, trust me i know

I say go with ECU tune if you have money and not planning to change your setup anytime soon, but it is okay to start out with something like AFC because its great for fine tuning. enthalpy tune the car to run a little on the rich side because they go by what your setup is and do theoretical calculations, a piggy fuelcontrol can do finetune.

thanks guy. yeah i knew the afc didn't have timing control i just worded it wrong. geting a msd btm is too etpensive right now. cash is low i'm almost done with geting everything gathered and now i find that you have to get you timing redon. argh... thiers a lot that goes into ka before you can ka-t.i wonder if my dyno place can tune my timing like your. with the gun. hes the only one in town. man i'm broke here the list of parts i have right now if your interested:t3/t4 hybrid turbo w/ internal w/ggreddy bov typ-rscustom manicustom down pipe.sr 370cc injectors planing to get bigger ones later greddy fmic.safc neo.walbro 255 fpareo fpr.i wonder what else i'm missing?...hmmm.ohh plaing to get a n60 maf and oil lines.

thats it.

while were on the subject how long of a line do i need for oil feed line. the sticky said 4ft i think but i measure with a tape ruler and got 40 inches? planing to tap the oil from a oil sensor. with a "T"

to save you some troubles, you can get oil line kit from JGS. i bought mine from them and works perfect, just make sure angle the bung for oil return and make it as straight down as possible i had to redo mine because the first time i took to dyno and black smoke shot out.

I think you might max out your 370injectors, to be on the safe side you should go d-werks they're really good and inexpensive.

For timing i think all dyno shop will do it with no extra cost, just make sure you bring your car to someone who knows what they're doing. i first took mine to JERdevelopment and no offense, but he didnt know much and also tuned my AFCneo in easy mode(8point fuel correction) which didnt turn out to be a great tune because he wasnt able to lean out all of the rich points making 219whp. Wasted $175the second shop which is OSR, turned out to be really good, the guy discovered detonation due to bad timing and fixed everything and they also used pro-mode(16pt correction). Big difference, i recommend them to anyone, my car runs sooo much better. made 247whp cost$150

It's going to be next to impossible to push 280rwhp reliably with just a piggyback. Save yourself some hassle & money down the road by getting a tuned ecu or standalone.

I was running 20lbs of boost with SACFII and MSD BTM for timing...

Granted, I have a little experience with tuning and have the wide band and knock meter. In an inexperienced persons hands the SAFC can be dangerous. Then again, Enthalpy wasn't even around when I boosted my 240. It was JWT or SAFC...lol.

If I were to do it over, the Emance or Enthalpy tune would probably be my choice.

yeah... the right dyno tune is the key..lol... so far my expierences with dyno shops in my area has been *** (just 1 but it was bad lol) spend $214 and he spent like 20 min of actuall tune... and all he did was put 30% correction across the board on my safc II.... have new setup.. and looking or a dyno shop that takes more pride in there work...

if anyone knows of anything in NJ/ny/Philly area... let me know!!! plz
