Installed a new water pump, when checking out the pulleys, which I thought were done while doing the timing belt, they look to, well, not be new, meineke is crap, don't ever go there for anything.

After that fact, how difficult is it to install the 2 tensioner pulleys and the idle pulley?

Do I need to remove the timing belt for this? It feels like there is ENOUGH slack to remove the pulleys and then reinstall without having to remove the timing belt.

Advise Please!

Umm wow! If there is enough slack on the timing belt to remove the pulleys... you for sure need to replace all of them: Tensioner assembly and both upper and lower pulleys. Complete removal of the belt isn't necessary. Follow the FSM for tensioner installation.

Definitely get a new OEM tensioner, and OEM idler pulleys. Might also want to snag the RameyZ Heavy Duty Idler Studs as cheap insurance.

How old is the belt?

There isnt THAT much slack, but I can definitely squeeze the pulleys on and tighten them down without having to release the tensioner. Belt is 12 months old minus maybe a week or 2, drove the car for about 9 months till the waterpump gave out.

Trying to ponder any other maintenance or parts to replace while everything is out. Oil pump? Power steering seems fine, AC is ok, stinks a like a beezie, gonna be doing tension rod bushings and steering rack bushings after i get all this crap put back on.

As a precaution, I'd set your motor to TDC on cylinder #1, then hold the belt in place like so:

Then remove and reinstall the new pulleys.

Sounds good, i just bought these on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... _725wt_940

if seller is legit about the items, then its a damn good deal.

Im guessing these pulleys are plug and play? just pop off the bolt/bolts, and pop on the new ones?

I would never buy used items that directly affect the health of your engine's internals. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT installing those. Take it from somebody who knows about timing belt slip ups lol....that could be an $1,800 mistake. It's not worth it!

Those would be clamps. From Home Depot.

Just ask for spring clamps at any hardware or auto supply store

Thanks a lot for the replies! Would these work for holding the kevlar belt in place? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003MA ... TOP7JJB0T8

Yeah that would work. Any hardware stores would have them though if you want it faster. Home Depot, Lowes, Sears, Harbor Freight, Walmart might even have them lol

Well I live outside US and it's hard to get some things here...so that's my best option probably. Thanks!

If you have trouble getting those clamps; Ive have good success with the large 2" fold back binder clips also.
