How do you do timing on L28ET?? Any help.

82-83, just rotate the distributor like any other car, should be 18 btdc IIRC

I was gonna replace the chain and tension and sprockets, but damn cloyes chain was too short so i just replaced everything else.

Does anyone on here have a turbo downpipe for 83 280zx turbo?? Lmk i need a new one.

I'm pretty sure I still hve a stock dp, I'll have to look

as for your timign replacment, was there a problem? generally these caines are good for 200k miles or more

when replacing the chain, it's easier to get the chain and sprockets on an aligned before adding the tensioner and setting the guides

Tight once you find out you should email me [email protected] because my studs busted, and the local machine shop is having trouble replacing them, so i figure i would just look for a new one.

As for the timing we just had to use the old chain, which was still in good condition, but the chain we got from cloyes was shorter than the old chain. So the only parts we changed, were the guides and tensionor.
