timing????

well juss swaped in a ca18det and took the rod knock one out. but the thing is it does not feel as fast. i was thinkin cuz im only at 6psi and befor i was a 12psi. the motor runs good and all. but do u think i should go get the timing belt and get the timing done???? thanks

of course a ca18det at 12psi is gonna make more power than one at 6. i would only push it to about 10 until its got some supporting stuff on it.

as for your question, YES!! there should be no reason why the old timing belt is still on there. change all that crap. timing belt, water pump, all belts, any related gaskets, set timing, etc.

i was under the impression that was just universally known.
