timing rb20

ok so i got the car back together it doesnt start and when i move the cas counter clockwise it sounds like its tryin to start.idk if thts a timing issue in the tune or if im off on the timing.

Your base timing isn't set right yet. You might be 180* off with the CAS. Try to realign it to the camshaft, try to start it; rotate a bit; try to start; etc..

Verify you have fuel and spark when you rotate the CAS by hand.

Good luck with that considering the CAS can only go in one way, unless the keyway is broken.

You're right, but the key is broken off on a lot of RBs.. Mine included Which allows the cas to be installed anyway you like... And as I found out it's pretty easy to put it on 180 out of sync, aligning it without the key is annoying...

Sounds like your base timing isn't right. Verify you have spark and fuel when you spin the cas by hand (or while cranking the motor). If both are good then just adjust the cas position until the engine fires.

Did you remove or replace the timing belt?

Also what do you mean "in the tune", who tuned the car and with what EMS?

yea i did the timing belt,and carl h did the tune.
