Can you clarify the question a little better? The stock setting on my 240 is 20 degrees BTDC, at idle (700RPM). So are you trying to advance your timing? Or....

Just set it for base +-2° at idle with the tps removed. I dont rem what the sohc engine runs for base but the dohc is 20 +-2°.

I fluctuate mine from time to time from 22° and 24° depending on what I am doing (auto-x 22° for a slight lowend shift and 24° at the track for a more upper end shift). Im currently at 22° btdc because I spend more times dodging cones then I do pointlessly seeing how fast my car can go in a straight line.

Just set it at idle to specs and let the ecu readjust it while driving. Thats one of the reasons its there ya know.
