I recently talked to somebody about the problem that I am having with lack of power. The car feels pretty good in first gear after I have let it sit for a couple of hours before driving. I checked my timing and it looks like the light does not flash on the same mark everytime. Like it flashes a few degrees off every couple of seconds. Does this mean a distributor shaft is loose or something or is this normal?

Are you following the correct procedure for checking timing? Do you have the tps (haha, I said tps...) throttle cable connector unplugged? If it is plugged in, you are not getting your base timing, but ecu adjusted timing.

If you are unsure of what I'm talking about

If you did all that, good luck.
