timing problem

I have a 1990 240sx and i have been having problems with the idle. and now it doesnt seem to want idle and it wont rev past 2400 rpm. ive had a timing light on while reving and the timing went from abut 15 before top dead to about 25-30. wat could be the problem? Speedy help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The MAF is most likely bad or the wiring to it is screwed up.

thanks for the suggestion that seemed to fix it. it still is a little hard to start.
