The waterpump went out and headgasket blew.Took it apart and took head to be surfaced-$50.00-not a bad price.Bought Flepro headgasket set=$85.00.Bolted all back together, started it up,ran a few seconds and died.Would 'nt start back up again, moved dist.-nothing-filled crank with gas trying to get it started.Ran compression test,#1 & #4 had 65 psi-#2 & #3 had 150 psi.Put air hose on#1,could here slight leak coming back through TB.Put air hose on #4,could here slight leak at exhaust pipe.#2 & #3 held air.Thought I bent valves.Pulled apart again. No marks on piston or valves.Put back together but this time I pulled lower cover to check timing mark and chain mating mark before put it back together.Did it by the book.Sumthings not right.

Sounds to me like you have a cracked head, intake side on #1 and exhaust side on #4 either that or your piston rings on 1 & 4 are fubar.
