I put it all back together and it runs but seems off, when it started up it i looked with a timing light and it was good but when it warmed up you could no longer see the timing marks. dist is as far is it can go, what can i do to get the timing right again????? please help gotta get it runing. oh yeah i almost forgot, got back fire coming out exhaust.

There is a good writeup in the 240 tech pages on how to set the distributor and timing.

You can skip a few steps when it comes to the replacing of the guide and tensioner, but it's a pretty intense process. I am just now finishing mine up and hoping to turn it over for the first time this weekend. Good luck to ya buddy!
