Hey guys I’m new to the group. I have a 96 Infiniti G20 with an SR20. It overheated and blew a head gasket. So I pulled the head and without thinking I didn’t put it on top dead center. So now I’m struggling getting the timing correct. On alldata and shopkeypro it says to put the engine at top dead center have the back or right cam dowel pen at 10 o’clock and the front or left cam dowel pin at 12 o’clock. But the timing is off. I’ve also read that you line up the timing pin on the front cover with the second from the left dot on the crank pulley. But this doesn’t put the engine at top dead center. If anybody can help me with this I’d be forever grateful.
